This Return & Refund Policy explains how WeBuyTools LLC (“WeBuyTools,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) handles inspections, revised offers, returns, payouts, disputed transactions, and refund-related matters for transactions conducted through WeBuyTool.com.

By using our platform, you agree to the terms outlined below.


1. Overview

WeBuyTools primarily operates as a tool purchasing and liquidity platform.

Because most transactions involve sellers sending tools to WeBuyTools for inspection and payout, traditional retail return policies generally do not apply.

All submitted items remain subject to:

  • inspection

  • verification

  • fraud review

  • condition confirmation

  • operational review

before final approval and payout.


2. Inspection Process

All tools and equipment received by WeBuyTools are inspected to verify:

  • item identity

  • model accuracy

  • condition

  • functionality

  • completeness

  • disclosed accessories

  • shipment accuracy

Inspection timelines may vary depending on:

  • shipment volume

  • package complexity

  • testing requirements

  • operational conditions

Most inspections are completed within 1–3 business days after delivery.


3. Revised Offers

If an item:

  • differs from the submitted condition

  • arrives damaged

  • is incomplete

  • contains undisclosed defects

  • includes unauthorized substitutions

  • differs materially from the order submitted

WeBuyTools may issue a revised offer.

The seller may choose to:

  • accept the revised offer, or

  • request return shipment of the item where applicable


4. Final Transactions

Once:

  • an offer is accepted,

  • payout is issued,

  • and the transaction is completed,

the transaction is considered final.

Ownership of the item transfers to WeBuyTools LLC upon completed payout unless otherwise required by law.

Tools that have been paid out are generally:

  • non-returnable

  • non-refundable

  • not eligible for reversal


5. Return Requests

5.1 Seller Return Requests

If a revised offer is declined, sellers may request return shipment of the item.

Return shipping costs are generally the responsibility of the seller unless otherwise agreed in writing.


5.2 Return Payment Deadline

Return shipping fees must typically be paid within 14 calendar days after notice is provided.

If:

  • payment is not received,

  • the seller becomes unresponsive,

  • or return arrangements are not completed,

the item may be considered abandoned and forfeited to WeBuyTools LLC where permitted by law.

WeBuyTools may then:

  • resell the item

  • recycle the item

  • dispose of the item

  • retain the item for operational purposes

without additional compensation.


6. Refunds

Refunds are uncommon due to the nature of tool purchasing transactions, but may be issued in certain circumstances at our discretion.

Refunds may include:

  • duplicate payments

  • overpayments

  • canceled transactions

  • administrative errors

  • approved disputes

Refunds are generally issued back to the original payment method where possible.

Supported payment methods may include:

  • Zelle

  • Venmo

  • PayPal

  • Cash App

  • ACH transfer

  • Wire transfer

  • other approved payout methods

Processing times vary depending on:

  • financial institution

  • payment processor

  • banking network

  • payment method used


7. Fraud, Disputes & Chargebacks

WeBuyTools LLC reserves the right to:

  • delay payouts

  • reverse payouts

  • suspend transactions

  • freeze funds

  • request additional documentation

  • investigate suspicious activity

in matters involving:

  • fraud

  • stolen merchandise

  • unauthorized transactions

  • payment disputes

  • chargebacks

  • ownership claims

  • policy violations

We may cooperate with:

  • payment processors

  • shipping carriers

  • fraud prevention providers

  • financial institutions

  • law enforcement agencies

during investigations.


8. Non-Returnable & Restricted Items

The following may not be eligible for return, refund, or payout:

  • stolen items

  • counterfeit merchandise

  • unsafe or hazardous tools

  • items prohibited by law

  • tools with altered or removed serial numbers

  • heavily damaged items

  • incomplete items

  • unauthorized substitute items

We reserve the right to refuse or dispose of prohibited items where legally permitted.


9. Marketplace Transactions (Future Services)

For marketplace or third-party seller transactions, separate return, dispute, payout, and buyer protection rules may apply.

Additional marketplace policies may be published separately as the platform evolves.


10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WeBuyTools LLC shall not be liable for:

  • indirect damages

  • incidental damages

  • lost profits

  • shipping delays

  • carrier damage

  • third-party fraud

  • payment processor delays

  • marketplace disputes

  • unauthorized account activity

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount directly involved in the specific transaction giving rise to the claim.

Updated versions will be posted with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
